The last eight years as Headteacher have been an absolute delight.  G.C.S.E. examination results have more than doubled and the academic profile of each new intake over the last five years has been at record levels.  Consistently, the progress our pupils made from Year 7 to Year 11 is in the top 10% of schools nationally.  Our reputation has reached new heights resulting in us being oversubscribed for the last five years.  Pupils, parents and staff have a real and shared commitment to maximising the potential of all.

Our aim is for this school to be the best.  We want a school dedicated to success where all    children leave aged 16 having identified a talent, a skill, an intelligence and the confidence to become whatever they aspire to be.

As a father of three children, I am aware of the anxiety which exists when making a decision about our children’s education.  I personally believe that there is no room for compromise as far as our children’s futures are concerned. At The Wordsley School, your child will be valued, stimulated, challenged and will be encouraged to foster a real and lasting love of learning.    However, let’s not forget that school should also be enjoyable and fun.

As parents, we want and deserve the very best for our children.  This can be achieved through school and parents working in partnership to support the intellectual, emotional and physical growth of our youngsters.

As a school we have achieved so much, and yet with all members of the Wordsley community working together, we will reach new heights.

I believe that the best way to predict the future is to invent it.  I invite you and your child to be part of our on-going and future successes.
